Hotels
A previous incarnation of this page listed affordable hotels that were conveniently located for those wishing to attend the symposium. Unfortunately, many of the prices were soon outdated or rooms were no longer directly available from the hotel sites. There are still plenty of rooms available, however, through hotel booking sites, such as booking.com. Another suggestion is to use Google.com. Simply typing in the search terms Hotel AND Yokohama, or Hotel AND Bashamichi, or Hotel AND Shin Yokohama, should result in several hotel choices. More information relating to directions from the three main stations to the symposium site Keio University, Hiyoshi campus, cost and time is available below.
Getting to the symposium
From Yokohama Station:
Take local or express on the Toyoko Line heading toward Shibuya Station. Get off at Hiyoshi Station.
Total cost: ￥200
Total time: ~18 minutes.
From Shin-Yokohama Station:
Take JR Yokohama Line to Kikuna Station (one stop) and then transfer to Toyoko Line. Get on a local heading toward Shibuya Station and get off at Hiyoshi Station (three stops).
Total cost: ￥300
Total time: ~12 minutes
From Bashamichi Station:
Take Minato-Mirai Line heading toward Shibuya Station. Get off at Hiyoshi Station. Note that the Minato-Mirai Line turns into the Toyoko Line at Yokohama Station.
Total cost: ￥380
Total time: ~17 minutes
